Bendigo Bank Sports Person of the Year Awards
The Bendigo Bank - Port Lincoln Branch Lower Eyre Peninsula Sports Person of the Year Awards are held annually with the announcement and presentation of the Senior Sports Person, Junior Sports Person and Sporting Volunteer of the Year Awards at the Bendigo Bank - Port Lincoln Branch Lower Eyre Peninsula Sports Person of the Year Award Presentations dinner held in February each year.
Due to the COVID pandemic these Awards and call for nominations have been put on hold until further notice.
Members of the community who have achieved excellence in their sporting field are eligible for nomination.
Nominees must reside and participate in districts south of Mount Hope, Cummins and Tumby Bay.
Sports Person of the Year
(must be 17 years and over as at 1 October (of current year) to be eligible)
Junior Sports Person of the Year
(must be under 17 years as at 1 October (year of the awards) to be eligible)
Sporting Volunteers Award
A panel of members from Rotary Port Lincoln, Radio 5CC/Magic 89.9 and members representing a cross section of the local sporting community assess the nominations received.
