Resource Recovery Centre

The Port Lincoln Resource Recovery Centre aims to maximise Council’s available resources by diverting waste products into valuable assets by implementing management and work practices that encourage waste minimisation; achieve economic, environmental and productivity improvements that ultimately benefit the City of Port Lincoln.

**Changes at the Resources Recovery Centre from 1 December 2017**

When you arrive at the Resource Recovery Centre you must drive up onto the weighbridge opposite the Pay Station (refer image below) and stop. 

Officers will inspect your load and will advise you of the cost of your load for payment.  After payment has been made, you are able to move on as normal to unload.  Cars, utes and trailers with domestic waste will not be weighed.

Trucks and Commercial users with trade accounts must drive up onto the weighbridge as normal to report in before continuing on to unload.  After unloading the driver must loop back around the shed and park back on the weighbridge for weighing before exiting the facility.

Officers at the Resource Recovery Centre will be able to assist you when you arrive at the Pay Station.

Household Waste Bin Collection

Council provides a weekly domestic waste collection to all rateable properties within the City of Port Lincoln and one, 140L red lidded bin (supplied by Council).

You will need to place your bin kerbside by 6am on the scheduled collection day to ensure it is collected. 

Additional Waste Bin Collection or New or Replacement Bin

If you need an additional weekly bin pick up or require an additional 'once off bin' pick up service or a new or replacement bin please contact the Council office on 8621 2300 to arrange.  The additional bin pick up service will be scheduled to occur on the same day as your normal collection day.

Trade Account Application

Companies and businesses who use the Resource Recovery Centre on a regular basis are encouraged to have a trade account with the City of Port Lincoln.  A trade account will allow you to to pay your account within 30 days from the date of the invoice.  

To apply for a trade account complete the Trade Account Application and return it to the Council for processing.

Companies and business that have been approved for a Trade Account on arrival at the Resource Recovery Centre will need to present a purchase order each time with details of load, company, business name etc.

Change of Details
If any of your company/business and/or account details have changed you will need to let Council know by completing the Change of Debtor Account Details Form and return to Council as per details supplied on the form.

Household Recycle Bin Collection

Council provides a fortnightly kerbside collection for household recyclable materials for residents who wish to use this service.  The resident is to provide a 240L green bin (with either green or yellow lid) and place the bin kerbside by 6am on the scheduled collection day for collection.
