Leisure Centre Expansion Project Board

At the Ordinary Council meeting held 19 October 2020, Council resolved to disband the Leisure Centre Expansion Project Board as the required project activities have been completed and the Project Board no longer has a role to fulfil.

The Leisure Centre Expansion Project Board comprises the membership of five people and shall meet at least once per year on such dates and times as the Committee determines at the City of Port Lincoln Council Chambers, Level One, Civic Centre, 60 Tasman Terrace, Port Lincoln.

Members of the public can attend all meetings of the Project Board, unless prohibited by resolution of the Project Board under the confidentiality provisions of section 90 of the Local Government Act 1999.

The Project Boards' responsibilities and functions are to:

  • Endorse the Project Implementation Plan (PID);
  • Approve funding and expenditure for the project within tolerances delegated by Council;
  • Approve changes to the project scope that exceed tolerances allocated to the Project Executive;
  • Ensure that the project achieves its objectives and delivers the benefits for which it was originally commissioned;
  • Endorse any changes to the planned project objectives;
  • Endorse the Post Implementation Review outcomes; and
  • To do anything necessary, expedient or incidental to performing or discharging the functions of the Committee as listed herein or to achieving its objectives.
