Information/Briefing Sessions

Information/briefiing sessions are designed to provide information, context and evidence to assist council members to carry out their functions.

In accordance with Section 90A of the Local Government Act 1999, these sessions will be held to discuss various matters, as listed below. The Chief Executive Officer may declare that a meeting be closed to the public to discuss matters of a confidential nature within the ambit of Section 90A(4) of the Local Government Act 1999. If this occurs it will be specified, including the reason for closure.

Members of the public are able to attend the information/briefing sessions as observers only and can't take part in the discussion unless specifically invited to do so.
