Pursuant to Section 188 of the Local Government Act 1999, Council is authorised to establish fees and charges for the use of property or facilities, works, services, and provision of materials in respect of any application, authorisation, licence or permit and other matters provided for under any other Act.

The Schedule of Fees and Charges is reviewed by Council on an annual basis and is presented to Council for adoption prior to 30 June each year.

Water Reuse Policy Pricing Statement

City of Port Lincoln is the only provider of recycled water for irrigation purposes in Port Lincoln, with the main purpose of the scheme being to provide irrigation water for Council's own parks and reserves.  The recycled water is also used by the Port Lincoln Racing Club, Mallee Park Football Club, Saint Joseph's School Port Lincoln and Navigator College for irrigating their own turf areas.  The Council also has a contract with a civil construction company that uses the recycled water for compaction and dust suppression on construction projects.

Council is required to submit to the Essential Services Commission of South Australia (ESCOSA) an annual pricing report as per the Regulatory Reporting Requirements for Small-scale Networks - Guideline No.5 [PDF 741KB], no later than 30 November each year and to publish on our website our pricing schedule which is incorporated in our Fees and Charges Schedule and Pricing Policy Statement [PDF 201KB].
