Nominations extended for Sports Person of the Year Awards

As we start the new year, it is time to reflect on what we have achieved over the past year and plan our goals for the one ahead. In reflecting on last year, did you know of a person who excelled in their sport?  Or did you know of a person who has volunteered their time to help out in the sporting field?  If you do, it’s not too late as nominations have been extended until close of business on Friday 17 January 2020.

There are three categories in the Bendigo Bank Port Lincoln Branch Lower Eyre Peninsula Sports Person of the Year Awards and they are:

  • Sports Power Super Store Senior Sports Person of the Year
  • McDonalds Junior Sports Person of the Year
  • National Pharmacies Sporting Volunteer

Nomination forms are available at the Council Administration Office and Port Lincoln Library and on the websites www.portlincoln.sa.gov.au/community/sportsawardswww.magic899.com and www.5cc.com.

Nominations are to be submitted direct to Eyre Peninsula Broadcasters Magic 899/765-5CC by emailing to epsportsawards@gmail.com or forwarding to their office on Washington Street by post or in person by Friday 17 January 2020.

The Awards Presentations Dinner will be held on Friday 21 February 2020 at the Ravendale Sporting Complex, with special guest, Australian Netball legend Michelle den Dekker OAM.  Tickets are on sale now through www.satickets.com.au.
