Port Lincoln - Our Vision Our Future - Have your say

  • News
3rd September 2019

Have your say?  That’s the slogan and the challenging message from the Council as it invites the community to be actively engaged and involved during September and October in establishing the future vision of the City and strategic projects.

To have your say, there will be a range of opportunities to participate and have your voice heard through public forums, pop up stalls, short surveys, facebook polls, make a verbal submission and through writing thoughts and ideas on a postcard, or email or write direct to Council.

Having your say will assist in developing a draft City Strategic Plan and projects that will be released to the community for further comment late November and through December before being finalised and adopted by Council in the new-year.

Mayor Brad Flaherty said “This is an opportunity for everyone in the community to come forward with their thoughts and aspirations for the future and be involved in setting our vision and projects.  The challenge is ours in meeting the community needs, to ensure that essential services are provided while growing our City for everyone to enjoy”.

From the City Strategic Plan, a 10 Year Strategic Projects Plan will be developed for comment during February and March in the new year that will determine the projects to be undertaken over the next 10 years. The Plan will then be broken down into a rolling five year Plan that drives the Annual Business Plan and Budget process undertaken each year.

Have your say, be engaged and share your vision.
