The Port Lincoln Library is back!

  • News
8th September 2020

The Port Lincoln Library doors are now back open to the public, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and Sundays 1pm-4pm (closed on public holidays).  The community is always welcomed, whether using the free Wi-Fi, using the computers or browsing and borrowing from the great range of collections.

At this stage the Library is still unable to offer community rooms for meetings or children’s programs.  We will announce more changes as soon as we can return to these services safely.

Mayor Brad Flaherty said, “We are excited that the doors are open at the Library and we can get closer to fully providing these valuable services to the community.  Libraries are so important to our mental well-being and they provide a place where we can gather and connect with each other.”

“It is also important to remember that we all need to continue to do our part and regularly wash our hands and keep a safe distance from others, so that we can keep these services open through these difficult times.”

Entry to the Library is through either the main doors, off Porter Street, or via the London Street entry.  Hand sanitiser stations are provided at the entries and safe physical distancing of 1.5 metres is required whilst at the Library.  If you do feel unwell, are experiencing flu-like symptoms, or have recently travelled outside of SA, please stay at home and seek medical assistance if needed.

The Library’s Home Delivery Service is also back in action.  If you or someone you know is experiencing difficulty visiting the Library, please get in touch to see if you are eligible for the Home Delivery Service, a customised delivery service to your door.

Online services are free and accessible to everyone with a library card – e-books, audiobooks, magazines, family history, tutorials, links to good reading suggestions and more.  Contact the Port Lincoln Library with any enquiries.

We look forward to serving you at the Port Lincoln Library soon.

All media enquiries to be directed to the undersigned on 8621 2325 or via email plcc@plcc.sa.gov.au.
