Port Lincoln Art Prize

The Port Lincoln Art Prize exhibition is an annual event open to all Australian residents.  The Port Lincoln Art Prize provides a prestigious competition for the many artists who enter and the opportunity to have their efforts publicly acknowledged with the chance to win cash prizes.

The annual Port Lincoln Art Prize is celebrating its 13th year and has grown and developed into a significant award and exhibition for the region attracting artwork from Australia wide.

Entries are invited from local, South Australian and interstate artists, working in any 2D and 3D mediums other than photography.

The Prize categories are:

  • $8,500 Major Award
    - cash prize sponsored by the Bendigo Community Bank of Port Lincoln
  • $1,000 Highly Commended Award Package
    - $500 cash and $500 voucher sponsored by Picture Perfect Framing and Art Supplies Port Lincoln
  • $500 Local Artist Award (EP entries only)
    - Adventure Bay Charters - Swim with the Sea Lions Tour Voucher for 2 people
  • $500 People's Choice Award (to be announced after the close of the exhibition)
    - Cash prize sponsored by the Port Lincoln Art Group
  • $300 Sculpture Award (New Category for 2021)
    - $300 voucher package sponsored by Lincoln Estate Wines & Glen Forest Tourist Park
  • $500 Youth Major Award
    - cash prize sponsored by the Rotary Club of Port Lincoln
  • $200 Youth Award Highly Commended Award
    - cash prize sponsored by the Port Lincoln Arts Council

Artworks will be assessed by an independent judge from outside of the Eyre Peninsula.

The winners of The Bendigo Bank Port Lincoln Art Prize 2021 will be announced at a reception to be held at the Nautilus Arts Centre on Thursday 14 January 2020 at 7pm with entries being exhibited at the Nautilus Arts Centre from Thursday 14 January to Saturday 27 February 2021.
