Lincoln, UK

Lincoln is a small historic city situated in the East Midlands region in England. Lincoln has a population of almost 1 million people, making it similar in size to Adelaide. The main industries are agriculture and fresh produce.

Tourists visit Lincoln to see the amazing historic buildings including the Cathedral and the Castle. The Friendship Agreement was signed between Lincoln UK and Port Lincoln in 1991.

Visits to and from Lincoln have occurred over the years, including one into Port Lincoln in 2017 from the Lincoln City Mayor, Yvonne Bodger, for the unveiling of the statue of Matthew Flinders. Flinders charted the coast around Port Lincoln and named many places after towns around his birthplace in Lincolnshire, eg Port Lincoln.
