Community Grant Funding Program

One of the ways the City of Port Lincoln empowers its community is by facilitating innovative, local events and programs through its Community Grant Funding Program.

Targeted categories allow community organisations and groups to access the right funding for their project and deliver great outcomes for the community which align with Council's Strategic Directions Plan.

Funding categories:

Successful projects will be those that:

are innovative, unique and responsive to identified needs and/or gaps within the community
build community capacity and provide opportunity for the community to come together and develop skills, confidence and knowledge
have a positive impact on community and individual health and wellbeing
facilitate better connection and increased engagement in sport and recreational and other community-based activities
support celebration of place and culture, and promote a sense of community identity and pride
activate Council facilities, spaces and infrastructure
contribute to the local economy, attract overnight visitation and/or repeat visitation
promote the region as a destination of choice and enhance the experience of locals and visitors alike

2026/2027 Funding round:

Flagship & Community Wellbeing Grants

Applications for Flagship Events & Community Wellbeing funding for the three-year period 2026/27 - 2028/29 are now closed.

Quick Response Grants under $1000

The Quick Response Grant Program supports small scale community events, activities and programs.

Applications for grants up to $1,000 can be applied for year-round (ends 30 June 2027) or until the funding pool has been exhausted.

Sport and Recreation Grants under $5,000

The Sport and Recreation Grant Program supports local sport and recreation initiatives that foster grassroots activation, participation and sustainability.

Applications for grants up to $5,000 are now closed.
