Council By-Laws
The Local Government Act 1999 allows Council to establish By-laws for the good rule and government of the area, and for the convenience, comfort and safety of its community.
Council has recently undertaken a review of its By-laws in accordance with Section 249 of the Local Government Act 1999.
The following By-laws were adopted at Council meeting on Monday 19 May 2025 and were published in the Government Gazette on Thursday 29 May 2025. These By-laws came into operation on 29 September 2025.
A By-law is legally enforceable and is required to be reviewed by Council every seven years with the next review to be undertaken in 2032.
