Small Business Friendly Council Initiative

City of Port Lincoln on 24 September 2018 entered into a Small Business Friendly Council Initiative Charter, an initiative of the South Australian Office of the Small Business Commissioner developed to enhance engagement between Council and local small businesses.

Council is committed to supporting and working with local small businesses and encourage the business community to engage with Council when opportunities present.

The principles behind the Small Business Friendly Council Initiative Charter are in line with Council's Strategic Directions Plan and further enhances Council's focus to achieve these goals.  Local stakeholders, industries and businesses working together with Council, can develop and grow the local economy, provide job opportunities, provide equitable and sustainable services to build a city that is an attractive place in which people can come to live, work and grow.

The Small Business Friendly Council Initiative Charter Agreement [PDF] outlines what Council can do to support small businesses.
