Special Events and Activities on Council Land

City of Port Lincoln is committed to supporting events and activities that contribute to a healthy, safe and inclusive community. The city has a number of parks and reserves available to use for community events and private functions such as birthday parties, family functions, weddings or private corporate events.

Private functions and certain activities such as street stalls and busking can be held on the Port Lincoln Foreshore, Council Parks, Land or Reserves and Roads with permission from Council.

For other activities requiring permission from Council refer to Council's By-Laws:

It is also recommended that you read Council's Fundraising Activity on Local Government Land and Roads Policy 9.63.23 [PDF].

Applications must be lodged at least two weeks prior to the scheduled event or activity to allow enough time for Council staff to process your request.  Incomplete or late applications may not be approved.

Anyone wishing to hold a private event or activity on Council Land is required to complete the relevant Special Event Permit Application below and obtain any other relevant permits and licences necessary.

It is recommended that you get approval of your event or activity first before sending out invitations or advertising your event as Parks and Reserves are often booked well in advance.

Please note if you are wanting to hold a community event, not a private function on the Port Lincoln Foreshore or Council land, please go to our Community Events on Council land page.
