Bendigo Bank Sports Person of the Year Awards

The Lower Eyre Peninsula Sports Person of the Year Awards Organising Committee has made a collective decision and regrettably inform the sporting community on 12 August 2020 that due to the health and safety concerns and restrictions surrounding the Coronavirus pandemic, the Bendigo Bank - Port Lincoln Branch Lower Eyre Peninsula Sports Person of the Year Awards and Presentation dinner for 2020 has been cancelled.

The Bendigo Bank - Port Lincoln Branch Lower Eyre Peninsula Sports Person of the Year Awards are held annually with the announcement and presentation of the Senior Sports Person, Junior Sports Person and Sporting Volunteer of the Year Awards at the Bendigo Bank - Port Lincoln Branch Lower Eyre Peninsula Sports Person of the Year Award Presentations dinner held in February each year.

Members of the community who have achieved excellence in their sporting field are eligible for nomination.  Nominees must reside and participate in districts south of Mount Hope, Cummins and Tumby Bay.


Sports Person of the Year

(must be 17 years and over as at 1 October 2018 to be eligible)

Junior Sports Person of the Year
(must be under 17 years as at 1 October 2019 to be eligible)

Sporting Volunteers Award

A panel of members from Rotary Port Lincoln, Radio 5CC/Magic 89.9 and members representing a cross section of the local sporting community assess the nominations received.
