Bendigo Bank Sports Person of the Year Awards

The Bendigo Bank - Port Lincoln Branch Lower Eyre Peninsula Sports Person of the Year Awards are held annually with the announcement and presentation of the Senior Sports Person, Junior Sports Person and Sporting Volunteer of the Year Awards at the Bendigo Bank - Port Lincoln Branch Lower Eyre Peninsula Sports Person of the Year Award Presentations dinner held in February each year.

Members of the community who have achieved excellence in their sporting field are eligible for nomination.  Nominees must reside and participate in districts south of Mount Hope, Cummins and Tumby Bay.


Sports Person of the Year

(must be 17 years and over as at 1 October 2018 to be eligible)

Junior Sports Person of the Year
(must be under 17 years as at 1 October 2019 to be eligible)

Sporting Volunteers Award

A panel of members from Rotary Port Lincoln, Radio 5CC/Magic 89.9 and members representing a cross section of the local sporting community assess the nominations received.

The 2018/2019 nominations closed 17 January 2020.

2018/2019 Awards Presentations Dinner

The Port Lincoln Branch Lower Eyre Peninsula Sports Person of the Year Awards Presentations Dinner will be held on Friday 21 February 2020 at the Ravendale Sporting Complex.

We are excited to have past Australian Netball Captain and Diamonds - Assistant Coach, netballer Michelle den Dekker OAM as the Special Guest at the Awards Night.  Michelle has had an incredible netball career and currently runs her own Netball consultancy business that delivers both coach education and player development resources for schools, clubs and associations throughout Australia.
