Pay an Expiation

The online payments system for rates now requires assessment numbers to be 5 digits long with NO LETTERS.

This means, if your assessment number on your current rates notice is A123 it is now 00123. Alternatively if your assessment number is A1234 it is now 01234.

These changes have been updated in your next rates notices moving forward.

Feel free to reach out to one of our Customer Service staff for any assistance.

If you have received an Expiation Notice for an alleged offence, payment is required within 28 days from the date of the notice, unless an arrangement has been made under section 20 of the Fines Enforcement and Debt Recovery Act 2017.  The full expiation amount must be paid for the payment to be accepted.

When making your expiation payment, please enter the Expiation Number located at the top right of your notice, including any letter in front of the number (e.g., A0090). Note that part payments and payments made after the due date cannot be accepted.

If you wish to arrange part payments or have received an Enforcement Notice, please contact the Fines Enforcement and Recovery Unit on 1800 659 538.
