Council invites applications for Flagship and Community Wellbeing Events
The City of Port Lincoln is inviting applications from community groups and organisations for funding through its Community Grant Funding Program, with opportunities available under Flagship Events and Community Wellbeing funding streams.
Applications are open for a three-year funding arrangement, supporting initiatives across the 2026/27, 2027/28 and 2028/29 financial years, with funding distributed annually to successful applicants.
In the 2025/26 funding round, Council allocated $45,000 across eight organisations to support high-profile events that contributed to the region’s identity and visitor economy. A further $42,500 was awarded to seven organisations through Community Wellbeing grants, supporting a wide range of initiatives including mental health, youth engagement, cultural recognition and social inclusion.
The Community Grant Funding Program supports local events, activities and programs that strengthen community life and deliver social, cultural and economic benefits to the Port Lincoln community.
The Flagship Events funding stream supports major events that attract visitors to the region and contribute to local economic growth, with funding provided on a case-by-case basis.
The Community Wellbeing category supports local programs and projects that build social connection, health and inclusion across the community, with grants provided in the range of $1,000 to $10,000 per year.
Mayor Diana Mislov said, “The Community Grant Funding Program is one the ways Council supports a vibrant and connected community.”
“The grant funding program is how we invest in the people, events and initiatives that make Port Lincoln such a dynamic and welcoming place to live and visit.”
“Community groups and organisations are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to deliver events and initiatives that bring people together, strengthen community wellbeing and support our local economy.”
Applications open on Monday, 1 June 2026 and close at 12 noon on Friday, 26 June 2026, with submissions to be considered by Council at the July 2026 Ordinary Council Meeting.
