Expressions of Interest open for Nautilus Arts Centre ground floor tenancy
The City of Port Lincoln is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the lease of a commercial premises on the ground floor of the Nautilus Arts Centre. The premises comprise approximately 66.5 square metres of ground floor space and are currently set up for café-style operations.
This tenancy presents a unique business opportunity in a prominent waterfront location at the Nautilus Arts Centre, within the Tasman Terrace and foreshore precinct. It has historically operated as a popular hospitality venue for both locals and visitors.
Chief Executive Officer Eric Brown said, “This is a well-known space in a central location, which can offer a great foundation to the right business.”
“Our aim is to find an operator who can make the most of this space through strong, sustainable business operations, while also supporting the success of the associated Nautilus Arts Centre and wider foreshore business precinct.
“We’re looking for a proposal that builds on the premises’ strengths and enhances how people use and enjoy the area,” said Eric.
The City of Port Lincoln is looking for proposals that are well thought-out and well-suited to the location. Submissions should outline a clear and viable business model and explain how the proposed occupancy would contribute to the overarching prosperity of the area.
While the tenancy is currently configured as a café, the City is open to other suitable concepts that can operate successfully from the site and achieve these outcomes.
The successful tenant will also have the option to purchase the existing equipment at Council’s acquisition value, minimising initial outlay costs for a new operator.
Additional information and Expression of Interest Forms are available on the City of Port Lincoln website’s Tenders page: portlincoln.sa.gov.au/tenders. Enquiries can be directed via email to Matthew Dunn at tenders@plcc.sa.gov.au.
The EOI process is open to all interested parties. Submissions will close Tuesday 17 November 2026, at 5pm. Following the close of submissions, proposals will be assessed and presented to Council for consideration
