The City of Port Lincoln has partnered with local service providers, government agencies, and community organisations to bring you the Living and Ageing Well Expo this October.

The Expo offers a valuable opportunity to connect face-to-face with local experts and learn about the resources available to support healthy, active ageing.  This one-day event will be held on Wednesday, 1 October 2025, from 10am to 6pm at the Nautilus Arts Centre, as part of South Australia’s Week of Ageing Well – Life not Labels and coinciding with the International Day of Older Persons.

The Expo is free to attend and open to everyone, whether you're over 50, caring for a loved one, or simply preparing for your own future.  With more than 25 local service providers, government agencies and community organisations on hand, there will be plenty of information and resources to explore.

In addition, nine expert-led presentations will run throughout the day on a variety of important topics, all designed to empower attendees with practical advice and tools to age well.  These sessions are free, but registrations are essential via Eventbrite.  The full program of events, including detailed presentation descriptions, is available on Council’s website.

Featured Presentations include:

  • Falls Prevention
  • Dementia Australia Service Talk
  • Let’s Talk About Aged Care
  • Staying Safe at Home
  • Aged Rights Advocacy Service & Financial Advocacy Information
  • Supporting Changed Behaviours
  • Ageism Can Lead to Abuse
  • Don’t Get Scammed
  • Worried About Your Memory?

Mayor Diana Mislov said, “It’s the perfect opportunity to learn more about local services, explore options for healthy living, and gain practical insights to help you live your best life.”

“We are thrilled with the engagement we’ve received from service providers, government agencies, and community organisations. With one day, nine presentations, and more than 25 service providers, the Living and Ageing Well Expo is a unique opportunity for the Port Lincoln and surrounding communities to come together and explore resources that support healthy and happy ageing.
